Stories Behind
the Art

Art, for me, extends far beyond the finished work. Behind every painting, photograph or creative project lies a story: a place visited, a memory revisited, an unexpected detail, a conversation, a colour, a moment of light or simply an emotion that asks to be expressed.

Through this blog, I will share glimpses behind the scenes of my work, from the development of exhibitions and new collections to my creative processes, photography, travels, artistic experiments and the people and places that inspire me.

My connection with Malta and Sicily, particularly Noto and my Sicilian heritage, continues to influence much of my work. Architecture, Mediterranean light, the sea, cultural traditions and our emotional relationship with place frequently find their way into my paintings and photographs.

This will also be a space for new ideas and discoveries. As my artistic practice continues to evolve, I look forward to sharing the journey, including the successes, the experiments and those wonderful moments when an unexpected idea becomes the beginning of something new.

“Art is a journey,
and this is where I share
some of the stories
along the way.”
